Junior Youth Spiritual Empowerment Program

The Junior Youth Spiritual Empowerment Program is a nurturing and empowering space for young people aged 12–15 years. Over a three-year journey, participants are supported to grow through reflection, service, and purposeful action in a safe, inclusive environment.

This stage of life — when youth are transitioning from childhood to adolescence, often between primary and high school — is a time of profound change. The program offers guidance, purpose, and a sense of belonging, helping young people navigate these formative years with strength and vision.

Program helps to:

  • Build a strong moral framework

  • Develop the confidence and language to express themselves

  • Form friendships based on trust and encouragement

  • Strengthen real-world skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, and literacy

Components:

  • Social

  • Sports

  • Study and discussion on case studies of youth in different communities throughout the world that explore deep moral and social themes

  • Service to the local community

  • Supportive encouragement

  • Mentorship with the facilitators, known as Animators

The Balwyn Neighbourhood group meets fortnightly.
